Winter
at the studio (photo)

How quickly this year has passed! My good intentions
to get back into a regular painting routine has failed.
Thankfully, my efforts to do all I can to help my husband
recover from his auto accident of January 31st have not been in
vain. He has responded well to therapy and will hopefully be
driving again soon. This has been a year of great growth for
both of us and has brought us even closer together. I know it
will impact my painting in many ways and am eager to discover
them. Thank you to all who have sent your prayers and positive
thoughts to us. |
I wish you all a joyous
Holiday
and New Year filled with painting success!
Here are the beginning steps I’ve painted from the stream photo in
Fall Seasonal Notes, shown again here.
Step 1
Colors
were mingled on the surface and sprayed with a damp toothbrush to make
textures.
Step
2
A
second layer of paint was floated on with a soft round brush. Textures
were made again by spraying
with the toothbrush. Values were deepened to give the shapes form.
