Schuyler Island

I hope your summer included many successful paintings! As you prepare for winter, prepare for winter painting too. Assess your materials and order new paint, paper and brushes if you need them. Take photos of those last flowers in the garden and the spectacular vistas large and small at a premium now. Organize your studio so it welcomes you to come in and work. Even a small space will do, but you do need a space of your own.

CONSIDER WORKING IN A SERIES

Select a familiar subject with which you have an emotional connection. It should be one that will hold your interest. How many ways can you paint it?

October 8 - November 13 Ann's painting, "Ode to Joy" was selected for the PITTSBURGH WATERCOLOR SOCIETY'S AQUEOUS OPEN, PA. "Ode To Joy" received the M. Graham & Company Award

Ann's painting, "Cascading Stream", has been selected for the Montana Watercolor Society's Watermedia 2004 at the Big Fork Arts & Cultural Center in October. "Cascading Stream" received the Silver Award of $500.

Ann has earned signature membership in the Missouri Watercolor Society. The society includes members from every state and their national exhibition has been rated one of the top society exhibitions in America by Watercolor Magic Magazine.

Ann's painting, Precious Peony, was accepted and sold in the Baltimore Watercolor Society's Mid-Atlantic Regional Exhibition in May.

Nov 23 - Dec 23 2004; Ann's painting, Dynamic Dahlia, was selected for the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society's 25th International Exhibition at the Hoyt Institute of Fine Art. Oct 14 - Nov 20, 2004; Ann's painting, Dashing Dahlia, was selected for the Oklahoma Watercolor Society's 30th Annual Exhibition.
