I’ve received many requests for another book on painting flowers and have written one that goes beyond the information presented in my first hard cover book, Painting Close-Focus Flowers In Watercolor. Over the winter I completed this third digital book, “Make Flower Paintings Glow In Watercolor”. It is available as a PDF file on a CD, or as a download from my website at; www.annpember.com. There is a description on my website and some excerpts and images from the book are included here.
The book contains over 300 illustrations. Seven all new step-by-step demonstrations of my techniques of painting include a variety of flowers. Color is explored with many examples of how to make clean washes, lift lights and achieve glowing color. A materials and methods section is included and there are descriptions about how to transfer a sketch to paper and other helpful hints, such as how to see more creatively. There is an extensive painting gallery of many varieties of painted flowers for your reference. Learn helpful ways to aid you in planning a painting. Use new ways to create an interesting design and suggestions for making adjustments to paintings that don’t quite work. This direct approach to painting could help you make more beautiful flower paintings in watercolor! 120 pages in PDF Format.
The demonstration painting to the left includes 8 pages of steps.
